I’m looking for recommendations on where to purchase prescription prism glasses at an affordable price.

I have a vision insurance but doesn’t covered much.

As you might know, these specialized lenses can be quite costly, and I want to ensure I’m getting good quality without breaking the bank.

Whether it’s an online store, a local optometrist, or a specific brand that offers good deals, I’m open to all suggestions.

If you’ve had personal experience buying prism glasses, I’d love to hear about where you got them and how your experience was.

Any tips on finding discounts or promotions would also be greatly appreciated!

For me when I have my glasses prescription filled adding prism is at no cost.

I have used Costco and just this year America’s Best.

Optician here. Prism is something you want to do at an opticians place brick and mortar.

            There’s dimensions they need.

In addition many times they have to redo it.

I myself wouldn’t fool with this one.

Just my opinion for what it’s worth.

Even Costco would be a good idea

I used to have glasses with prisms. Sometime I tried to cut corners by going the 1-day or chain stores.

I found they never got my prescription correct and I went back to a real optician (yes I know the chains have real opticians) where adjustments could be made if necessary.

One pair that i got from a chain distorted my vision and I fell stepping onto a curb.

You only have 2 eyes and most of us don’t have the opportunity to get new ones.

Reconsider your vision insurance if it’s optional. Add up how much you are paying for it and ask your optommotrist how much that “free” exam would cost out of pocket, plus the cost of glasses.

Is it worth it to keep paying for that?

I personally don’t – I’d rather just pay out of pocket when I need to

Your measurements must be accurate to be able to use your glasses correctly.

Having prism in your lenses must be measured to the millimeter.

Sometimes adjustments need to be made after you have picked them up.

You need to find an experienced optician.

Googles4u is the cheapest & what I use but I don’t have prism so I’m not sure on that aspect

I usually get 3 pairs for $15 each and then put them in common used areas

Check online. I’ve found buying the actual eye glasses online after your eye exam you’ve then got your prescription.

Online seems to have a giant variety with the best prices.

Your not having to pay for a actual brick n morter store in the glasses price.
