My husband has a script for cialis. He has an enlarged prostate which this drug will help and says it will reduce the risk of prostate cancer. (His PSA is 12)

Also, he thinks he needs the other added benefits.
Our issue: insurance won’t pay and we were quoted a price of $1000 for 90 days.

Does anyone know of anywhere cheaper? Not interested in any other medicine, only this one.

      Thanks in advance.

Have you tried good rx? Sometimes reaching out to the manufacturer helps, they can tell you about programs to help pay or offer coupons, I’d also reach out to the doc, sometimes they’re able to appeal the insurance co or offer coupons etc

Look on Canada websites. I get Bravecto for a friend’s cat without a prescription.

Is he willing to try the generic? GoodRX has 30 generic Cialis pills at my local pharmacy for $18.81 for the first fill and $28.81 after that.

If you have to buy meds without insurance, Costco is usually one of your cheaper options, as is the Amazon pharmacy.

See if he is eligible for the Patient assistance program and they might have a five dollar co-pay card

Eagle Pharmacy in Lakeland Florida. They work with the pharmaceutical companies. They are all mail order.

Save me $100 month! Also contact the maker of the drug.

They sometimes offer assistance. I also use Amazon pharmacy for one prescription.

If there is a generic for it they are probably going to carry the drug. Awesome customer service too.

Alot of time if the pharmacy knows you have insurance, they run it and give you the contract price they would have charged the insurance.

Be sure to go to a pharmacy and say you need cash price, use good Rx or go on the manufacturer website for a coupon savings card

If the doctor prescribes it they can get you free samples or deep discount coupons from the manufacturer. Ask the nurse he/she will be go to person

Talk to the doctor. He might can help. Mine had me paper work to fill.out. The doctor also filled out paper work and submitted. it to the drug company…

I got 500 dollar prescription for free.

It is based on how much you pay out of pocket for the previous year.

What’s the dosage on the prescription?
20 mg Cialis is generally for ED.

My Dr prescribed 5 mg generic Cialis daily for enlarged prostate.

                              Have the medication challenged.
Call insurance and ask why it was declined.

Ask that the insurance company provide a form for MD to complete regarding this medication because most of the time the reason is for blood flow related to prostate issues so there’s a chance insurance will pay

I’d start by asking the Pharmacist how to do this as the protocol may have changed since I was an RN doing Disease Management 5 years ago.

My husband currently has prostate cancer, so I ask with concern…
Your husband has had a biopsy before that was negative?

If so, has he had a 2nd, (repeat)
                                MRI-guided biopsy?

A PSA of 12 is high risk for cancer.

Maybe you already know this, but I felt compelled to share the importance of the biopsy screening.

Look at Amazon and Costco prices as well. Get yourself a Good rx number. No cost to you. Sign up online.

Tell the pharmacy your good rx number.

Oftentimes it is a cheaper rate than our insurance.
