Where have you had the best luck for a good price on over the counter medications. For example Omeprazole.
I am taking one daily but it is less than the prescription amount so my doc can’t write me a prescription for it.
I’ll search Walmart, Walgreens, Amazon, Dollar General but just wondering if there is some other place I’m missing.
CarrieDepending on your reason for taking the drug, you may want to try using acv (apple cider vinegar) and ditch the otc drug… just a suggestion
SheilaI am not sure of your age. But if you happen to have the United Healthcare U card. Thru Medicare.
You may be able to order it on your free credited allotment each month.
AnnetteA friend of mine says Costco has a crazy sale on the stuff once a year. She would stock up for her dog.
LorettaI have the same problem with Prevacid. I just open the capsule up and divide the granules in half. You don’t have to count each one just eye ball it.
I then put one half in a small concealed container and then sprinkle the other half on applesauce and drink water directly afterwards.
Has saved me a ton of money!
My insurance pays all except for my copay of twenty two dollars for three months which actually lasts me for six months!
NancyHubs has a lot of Rxs.
Only one that insurance did not help much. I had a Good Rx card I just picked up on a counter, and that lowered the $$ from well over $100 to $30.GailDo you know anyone who winters on the southern border? My cousin goes over into Mexico and gets my yearly supply for about $20.
KarenI’ve done well with Walgreens generic Omeprazole.
LauraHave your doctor write the prescription and don’t go through insurance but instead go through the GoodRx. It’s an app.
You can lookup what price at what pharmacy.
They can run it without insurance for cheaper. Or we get mail order 90 day supply for similar cheap price.
DenniseNot understanding the question. My husband is GI dr. 20 mg you get over the counter is the same as normal prescription.
If you are taking less than that I don’t know how you are buying that over the counter.
Am I missing something?
HelenMy doctor told me to buy Omeprazole OTC; take two 20 mg daily or he could write a RX for 40 mg. I followed his advice; actually saved money by buying at Sam’s.
ValerieSam’s club is where I used to get mine the cheapest. I’m in Colorado
DeborahAsk your doctor if he can prescribe 1 pill a day and let you cut it in half.
AnnetteI take 1 a day. My dr. Wrote me a. persciption. It’s free on my Medicare plan for a 90 day supply.on good rx it’s cheaper than OTC
SandiI take the prescription version and pay nothing. Not sure why your doctor wouldn’t have told you that & written you a script.
MarlaCostco & Sam’s have it in Over The Counter ! I switched to Pepcid which is prescription, better for you!!
