I’m looking for help to better understand what I’m doing because I have absolutely no clue.

I am moving my IRA that was making less than my savings account to Fidelity and at the same time also opened a Roth IRA.

I think my old employer IRA used a robo investor but I believe once the money is moved to fidelity it will be mine to figure out where to invest and that’s where I need help.

Where do I start with all of this??

I’m willing to do the work but I need to know where to start!

I’ve read a lot of you taking about VOO or VTI and know those are Vanguard ETFs but not sure how that converts to fidelity?

      Thank you so much

FXAIX is the Fidelity SP500 index. FNILX is similar but no expense ratio.

FZROX is a zero fee total market fund.

Fidelity also has sector ETFs like FTEC for technology, FUTY for utilities, FSTA for consumer staples, and others.

        I recommend the Fidelity funds.

No need to use Vanguard unless you want an ETF instead of a mutual fund for SP500 index.

Try reading The Simple Path to Wealth or The Bogleheads guide to investing.

Both are relatively short and will help you set up a simple, low cost portfolio.

VOO and VTI are great, and you can purchase them within Fidelity.

You can move it to fidelity, then purchase voo or vti in fidelity

Voo and VTI is a unit to buy .. fidelity is the holding company.. I went with SCHD bc I want it to work for me today and not wait for growth as it is dividend driven
