Hi everyone. I ran into some care repairs today -$1,300, but my car warranty is covering the costs. I have a 50th Anniversary Mustang GT that is a very limited edition.

It’s paid for, and I’m keeping it, but my current car warranty is expiring.

I use an automotive shop I really like – Christian Brothers. Their Care Plus plan is $96 a month with a $400 deductible.

      Who do you use?

Trying to compare rates because repair prices are going up so much.

I haven’t priced my current plan yet – Easy Care. Thank you in advance.

Save 400 in an account and 100 a month and whenever you have a repair toss in another 400 and you will come out ahead

In general paying for aftermarket warranties on vehicles is a waste of money; the fine print on them usually says they don’t have to honor it if the vehicles ever been in an accident, has more then one owner, has been serviced elsewhere or missed a service.

          Don’t do it

I would not pay $96 month for a car care package. That is $1,152 you just burned and there is no guarantee you will need it this nor plus you have a deductible.

Honestly, I just put money aside for car repairs. I maintain the car and follow the recommended care for my car with regular check ups, oil changes, etc.

Waste money, take the $96 you were paying round up to $100, place in a money market or online savings account, currently yielding 5.2 % month pull from there if you need repairs, if you do not use, you will have a nice nest egg building up

After the expiration of my extended warranty, I visited my local credit union and purchased a third-party warranty. These warranties should not be feared.

It is important to carefully review the coverage details, including what is and is not covered, as well as any exclusions.

My 2013 Altima has 165,000 miles, and this warranty has proven to be quite useful on multiple occasions.
